A man in Hyderabad has been booked for circulating an AI-generated leopard photo, falsely claiming a wild animal was roaming near Fathullaguda, causing panic among residents. According to police, Sachin, a painting contractor from Hubballi, Karnataka, sent a fake image created using ChatGPT to his landlord on Saturday midnight, falsely stating a leopard was spotted near Bhashyam School in Fathullag, Nagole. The image spread on social media, alarming locals. Forest officials at Uppal Forest Range, after receiving reports on Monday, inspected the area with Nagole police but found no evidence of leopard activity. The police identified the image as AI-generated and warned Sachin against such actions, issuing a notice and sending him away. The incident highlights the impact of misinformation in urban areas.
